Which director would want to be "enjoying" the fruits of their labour from a cell after the ASIC links calls from/to their mobiles to large buy and sells.
(NB worked for telstra for a while - within a few minutes ASIC/AFP can find out everyone who has called or been called by you for months back).

With share transactions all on databases these could be easily cross referenced to share transactions by these people and relatives/members of their households, or vice versa by looking at large buys prior to an announcement and cross reference these with phone calls made between relatives/households. This could be done by a single ASIC/AFP officer very quickly and I'm sure would happen from time to time if there is a sudden upswing in trading prior to a halt.

Don't expect any leaks via calls to directors at this critical time.
