Of course the Hindenburg was designed to ferry air passengers across the Atlantic full of Sexy and most Stable Helium and was only full of highly explosive Hydrogen because of pre-war U.S. export restrictions on helium, as they had realised German Zeppelins were all part of Joseph Goebbels’ elaborate ABC/Nazi propaganda machine. Being fitted out with an onboard smokers' lounge probably didn’t help, making them the subject of highly successful targeted shorting campaigns on the Deutsche Börse. It woz the Short H00ters Wot Won The War !
