If a court, in any country steps over the line as to what is judicial and what should be left to a parliament.....then something must be done.
Otherwise there is no need for a parliament.
The Israeli courts are as good as any in the world.....and have to deal with issues that no other country in the world faces.
Judges, like the ordinary citizen, cannot step over their boundaries, no matter how well intentiioned they might be, or might think they are.
At the end of the day, the people make the decision......the elected leaders make the laws....and the judges role .......is to interpret the law.
That's all....interpret.......not make the law.
They step over that fine line.....and what happens? The politicians change the law, or tighten it up, leaving the judges no excuses to invent their own.
