Not wishing to downplay any issues faced by individual companies as they do exist, but I saw a (very long) list recently of the World's mining jurisdictions ranked according to ease of doing business, sovereign risk etc. etc. and Western Australia was the top of the list followed by Saskatchewan. The last was Zimbabwe, which sounds logical. The Australian states were all reasonably high in the rankings: I think Victoria was the worst of them. I wish I'd kept the list now, it would come in handy.
