Hi Spid,
I too have been reading up on FREYR https://www.freyrbattery.com/news/the-minister-of-trade-and-industry-launches-the-norwegian-governments-battery-strategy-at-freyr-battery-in-mo-i-rana
Contained in the Freyr release above, it refers to Press invitation from (you will need to translate to English) the Norwegian Minister of Trade and Industry; Jan Christian Vestre https://www.regjeringen.no/no/aktuelt/naringsministeren-lanserer-regjeringens-batteristrategi/id2920877/
It is apparent that the Norwegian government wants/supports the development an entire local battery value chain in country....including quote "sustainable mineral extraction". Fjordinvest or Norway...do you know anyone that attended this presentation, or have any local insight?
Looking back to the 2019 announcement from MRC, Mark and co. inked an MOU with Freyr https://www.mineralcommodities.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/23-December-2019-MRC-And-FREYR-To-Collaborate-In-Battery-Cell-Development.pdf Dose anyone know the status of the MOU with Freyr? Why is the company signing MOU's with others, to me it makes them look desperate, especially when they can supply all the local anode material to a Norwegian based Gigafactory (Freyr) with all the support from the Norwegin government. These Vikings have that much money in sovereign wealth they would probably build a tunnel from Freyrs front door to Skarland.
If I read correctly, MRC had even announced a JV with Superior Graphite to develop an anode plant in Europe https://www.mineralcommodities.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/MRC-Enters-MOU-With-Superior-Graphite.pdf This was announced two weeks after terminating previous CEO's services, so my point is at the time Mark and co had a solid strategic road map to anode production, but since then and under current management absolutely nothing has happened....fact. If every thing is so good, then why not keep the market and share holders appraised...something dose not add up here.
MRC management just needs to stick to the previous plan. Don't run the company into the ground wasting time, actually execute and don't blow up the significant contributions of past management, and the sound road map that was in place.
