@Wilma85 do you know about Mitsubishi Chemicals' has any connections to Mitsubishi Corporate / Mitsubishi Motor Vehicles?
I am trying to work out if Mitsubishi Chem is likely to be connected to North Volt.
Hi Harris,Thank you for the reply,
I honestly think MRC is in the box seat to work with many of the planned giga factories in Europe, We are the only operating graphite mine in Europe, Although VRC is looking at restarting their mine in Ukraine.
Skaland, current capacity could produce around 10ktpa of spherical graphite. The 30tpa (total) expansion would come close very close to producing 20ktpa of Spherical Graphite, This production is insignificant compared to Europe's planned production.
FREYR will require 100,000tpa of spherical graphite, It's a similar story for NorthVolt, which is only over the border.
I am keen to see if MRC can secure an agreement with Mitsubishi and the likely volume of the toll processing. I will be more confident of MRC securing a long term supply agreement with a major battery producer having the backing and Technology of Mitsubishi.
