I played and replayed the John Harkins interview on BRR. Harkins is explaining the future of clean energy solutions for stranded coal seams. According to Harkins, UCG is today where coal seam methane was 6 years ago - on the cusp of its moment in the sun. Harkins knows it and the Chinese know it.

"It is my experience in dealing with the central government and regional governments that they are absolutely committed to seeking clean energy solutions to retrieve the energy that they know is contained in massive reserves of stranded coal....They see UCG as the solution to retrieving that energy as opposed to coal seam methane," said Harkins.

The best possible evidence is the rush by a Chinese investor to fund US$30m for the planned 7PJ commercial syngas plant. The news flow for Clean Global Energy is about to get very exciting.
