Yep one common story from those who make insurance claims is that their ins companies don't pay out anyway, there's always some excuse 'force majeur' or whatnot. Better off saving enough of your money so that you yourself have yourself covered when something bad happens. The money you could spend on insurance goes a long way towards that.
