Splitit and visa have partnered together - they are not competing for a merchant to try and first sell the offering.
Every-time you smell VISA card instalments (VIS) you know it is using Splitit.
FI Paylater is another custom version of VIS with an extra option for the bank issuer. The option is for Splitit to fund the purchase which VIS cannot do. Splitit will switch any FI from FI pay later to VIS - they are not loosing business as both entry points use the one API into AWS Cloud.
