An old drug with new indication, perhaps new dosage/formulation, and new studies can mean different price/brand name etc. As an example, *word disallowed by google was developed for erectile dysfunction. The company then did research in pulmonary hypertension and the results were good. Same drug, different dose, different trade name, MUCH more expensive. Doctors cannot prescribe generic Viagra for this indication through PBS. So theoretically they could make money from an old drug.....
