LOTR:
MQG biggest threat imo are falling asset prices. Lower interest rates will really support credit markets and their ability to finance debt cheaply, but if asset prices continue to fall - esp US property, maybe US tollroads (obviously different end of the market though but there's surely some positive correlation) - then their outlook isnt as rosy as otherwise.
But even this is a complex, complex issue. The effect that this would have on MQG would depend on: when debt is due (maturity/duration - do they need to sell any assets in this shtty market to finance any short term debt obligations...); what type of contracts are under place for each specific asset etc etc....
MQG have some of the best managers in the world though so i wouldnt be surprised if they come out of this bigger and better.
