the problem with your theory is that macquarie is not responsible for debts of the infrastructure funds.
If the users boycot the toll road or something, and MIG doesn't have the income to pay its interest bill, then its broke. Then the people who own the MIG stapled securities got nothing and the bondholders own the roads. But Macquarie Bank doesn't have to pay MIG's debts back.
