true poindexter, the problem is, if the credit market freezes up then it is hard for macquarie to keep generating the flow of deals which creates the fees. The basic management fees on those infrastructure and property funds they run keeps them in business but it is the buying and selling and refinancing and restructuring fees which keeps them in caviar and bonuses.
