George, it's difficult to do even a back of envelope analysis on Golden Crosse's potential, but the drill results certain hold very significant potential. However, current results on their own could go either way.

What has caught my attention is the comments and behavior ofd senior management. GCR's management has experience in exploration and drilling WA's Tony Locantro very much held this view.
Copper Hill drill result came in and Senior Management call it a "company maker".
They have explored and drilled extensively and have many prospective properties, finding at least one currently uneconomic silver resouce, so they would have a fair idea what a company maker might smell like.

Shortly after, senior management first & second in command buys substantial shares and options, including october 2006 15c strike options, then the two top guys promptly resign, while retaining a "consultancy" role. CEO Timms, one of the senior management to resign, described GCR as his "superannuation". Timms bought $300,000 just prior to resigning ($120,000 of this was sept 06 options with strike price of 5c), while GCR's Market cap was just a little over $12,000,000 - not exactly the kind of CEO who has $300k just going begging (ie big bikkies for timms) bringing his total holdings up to around $1,000,000.

This would be exactly what I would do if I was getting long in the tooth and my company had just found a mother of a resource. After that I'd be free to borrow money away from CEO restrictions to leverage the find to the hilt. Hey, that's just me though -
    and maybe Timms.

Another value adding item from the GCR websie:

"The other advanced project is the Kempfield silver-zinc-barite project, south west of Bathurst, which is now looking more attractive with the strong silver and improving zinc prices.A new drill campaign is underway to try and add to the resource base that includes what Golden Cross considered to be a “world class barite resource.” The resource stands at 3.72 mt @ 95 g/t silver, and 9.36 mt grading 26.4% barite, 0.89% zinc, 0.6 g/t gold and 0.5% lead."

(That's 11 million oz of silver)
