hi yuk i must disagree ,for germany being the next destabilising force,nonsence,infact the oposite .AS for the US/russian alliance yeah this is just the shift of the former iron curtain line eastwards,and iraq is not the only thing would justify that.
there is China Pakistan indo nuke conflict iran and lots of small states of the former Usssr that can be an explonation for the need of it.
Remember the us needed the iron curtain to justify it's presence in Europe and so did the Russians.
Both the US and the russians need an enemy an evilone if possible to justfy they currnet policy,how will you explain the bilions of dept otherways.
