Are you sure that is the case.? My feeling is that when Pacific don't stump up, they are in default, hence the default notice, there would be a timeframe involved and then they either stump up, have a buyer lined up or lose the block. To my mind,Pacific would have to have a buyer before commencement of drilling ( cannot be delayed without cost)and Kar could simply match the price if they want 100%. My bet is they are hoping to get it back for nothing, then find a new partner with cash and sell them a bigger overall percentage which gives Kar more cash and less development commitment.
They would be mad to spend cash buying it back unless they knew they could onsell to a preferred partner.
