I don't carry the equipment to add much here, but my takeaway from the first page is that there's no real clear source for Rana as a lot of geological layering and folding has had an impact.

It is old... But the fact is that little deep drilling has occurred, and geology doesn't change in 50 years, so I see it as encouraging that there could be more on site, and also the nearby area

Current techniques will be far better than these historical ones, and the upcoming diamond cores will give a great perspective on the genuine geology under there
