Who becomes PM depends upon passage at first sitting for HoReps of a vote of confidence in ???.

IF HoReps fails to agree, then the G-G - and perhaps the Senate, can become involved.

Expect the HoReps will decide on someone...

MPs should pass the Bill To Elect Governor-General through popular ballot, in time to replace current one.

Requires only a conventional bill, NOT a Constitutional amendment.

Popular elected Governor-General remains required to select his/her Ministers from either House of Parliament.

To change this (or title of G-G) requires a Constitutional amendment; BTW believe such would pass being what most people seek !

Separating day to day business of government from Parliament's legislating merely clarifies the separation of powers regarded as a basic principle for good government.

Separating day to day business of government from Parliament
will enourage MPs to concentrate firstly to get legislation right, then to ensure government business within legislation as passed by Parliament.

Governments recently abused House of Representatives control forcing compliance with legislation before passed.

Position: Yes, a popular Vote for our own G-G !
