Frankly, this drama like as a "tangled fight", even if TOL has approved, the each of parties have all been hurt deeply, bleeding . . .
TOL approval:
SMSL is the biggest loser, no doubt;
The Malaysian government will left a adverse reputation of decision-making confusion and inconsistencies in the international business community , for assume if your
Business partner has unilaterally modify the original contract then result in significant delays that cause you in significant financial losses, also by the final ,the contract has been performanced But without any compensation, would you can say "thanks" to other side?
as for NC and LYC'management, dont need explain whatever reason, they cant get rid of the mistakes in the entire investment process which exposed loopholes in the management's decision-making, communication and clumsy, they will be waiting for the accused on LYC's annual meeting;
LYC's retail shareholders always be the most direct financial victims , how many shareholders were forced to stop loss? how many shareholders have to endure long-term, non-return waiting to loss of other investment opportunities?. . . even to a add value in the current share price up to 50%, 100%, but also $1.40s, $1.60s only.
If the Malaysia government's decision-making process more transparent, if there has a timetable, if there set the final date...
If LYC's management has a good communicate with retail shareholders and timely disclosure to inform the process, and the approval process...
if then would retail Shareholders still be as your said "some of our 24% start ranting and raving" ?
the disadvantaged shareholders who endure long delays should be understanding, sympathy, instead of being accused, even if they did some "ranting and raving".
