Lynas has to be focused on serving Japan until Japan is satisfied. Only then will they be able to move toward any other demand growth. That's a tall order, possibly 4 years out, probably never.
Sino-Japanese Big Auto JVs will absorb all Mt Weld production magnet metals; any that threaten to escape to the West aka XXROW will be fought for tooth and nail.
Japan is not going to split the measly 10-20% of global REE production they have bought with anyone not helping Japanese industry. If China retains their monopoly for another 10 years, that would be highly unfortunate.
Only XXROW resource development can solve the manufacturing imbalance.
