I did. Snowy II is 2.2gW storage. Australia's daily consumption is somewhere around 30 gWh. It would take 10 Snowy IIs to supply a disastrous day.
Remember that the 30% cf achievable by wind is in the roaring 40s. Only that little bit of SA and Vic that is hit by the westerlies gives those returns. Qld is in the Placid Tropics where off-shore wind is disallowed because it is in GBRMPS's zone of authority where NUTTIN is allowed. Qld is currently getting 4% of demand from wind in what has been a good day for wind production. Qld has only one major, viable water project possible and that is Hells Gate Dam and that is no closer to a start than it was 20 yrs ago.
