Senex produces for the domestic market so the Chinese government’s advice should be irrelevant. Their advice will not change the amount of gas the world as a whole needs.
I certainly share your surprise at the pullback. However, the share price chart has been a fairly regular series of equal-sized peaks and troughs on an overall rising trend over the past 8 months or so and the current decline fits fairly nicely into the pattern.
