I just hope Dr M doesn’t try to fudge it to keep his fragile coalition together. There’s 3 outcomes to Friday’s cabinet meeting:
1) Lynas assured of licence renewal, original licence conditions upheld ie research and develop fertiliser with PDF backup. Happy days, SP opens at $3.20 and never looks back.
2) Lynas must export waste to Australia by 2/9, physically impossible, licence not renewed. (Almost certainly ruled out by Entrepreneur Minister yesterday)
3) Lynas assured of licence renewal but also ordered to export waste as speedily as possible starting now but with no deadline linked to licence renewal, no to Condisoil, no to PDF, no to common sense prevailing - the fudge. If so, I expect SP to be trashed and WES to “ride to the rescue and save Lynas” by stealing it for a song.

At least the saga will finally reach its conclusion. Unless they fudge the fudge...
