As an old dog my motto has always been,"Four legs - good, two legs bad". So I'll never need a stick, except to pi*s on.
But way back in Sept last year when I rang my super and got out of all my shares @ 5780, ( I know, too early, especially since the All Ords made a new high a few weeks later, but I'd lived thru the crash of '87 and wasn't hanging about), I distinctly remember saying to the bloke, "I'll get back in when the All Ords touches 3800."
I think I'll stick with that....just a hunch...and let the old guys with the sticks keep banging on.
In the mean time I keep my gambling urges sublimated by trading forex...love the ease of going long or short at the click of a mouse. Just got to resist the urge to maul that mousy thing...
