I usually don't get caught up in the bickering however...

Stuka, literally said just ask them and let us know the result. There is no uncomfortable feeling for us/him/her, we all want to know. But it is becoming very repetitive having a circulation of people coming through asking questions, then leaving. If you aren't a holder, then you are in an easy position to ask them yourself as you have time on your side.

We have patience for the tech, but no patience for repetitive questioning of the same topic(s) from non-influential and non-contributary parties of the organisation.
