It is commonly known that hydrogen can be converted to ammonia in order to be easily transported. This is a process that already exists.
However, the conversion to hydrogen in the first place and the conversion from hydrogen to ammonia and back is energy intensive. Therefore, it all hinges on energy for the conversion getting very cheap i.e. from renewables .
