Just listening to brr - JK states the offer was 'rejected out of hand'.
Its quite possible that a lot of this deal was to a degree 'handshake' stuff etc and that this Nicholson guy could be a real NQ Redneck which makes him somewhat unpredictable to deal with. JK sounded 'gobsmacked'that everything has gone pear shaped.
Unfortunately he probably reads the business section of the Cairns Post a bit too intently (after the comic section) and believes that MC is worth the proverbial 'billions' in light of the 20+ year China Boom!
Time to move on from RAU.
