Most presidents will say that the US will protect its assets and interests wherever they are and with the full strength of the US.
Meaning, if you change a law or do something that disadvantages their corporations or financial interests they will take the strongest actions necessary including invasion, occupation and war. Not forgetting sending in their banking clan to destroy a currency or smash their markets and send the government broke by claiming a huge amount of bonds all at once.
As said by a famous man said "The US does not have allies, it has interests and uses its military to carry out foreign policy.
And this wonderful saying. "Soldiers are just dumb animals to be use to carry out foreign policy."
