Not sure whether you're referring to LEG. IMO LEG is being played around by day traders and driven by hype alone. They don't have a definitive resource at all - all that talk about having rail and port is irrelevant if there's no JORC resource. It's interesting watching the herd flock to some stocks when the fundamentals simply aren't there - watch BKP fall with a huge thump IMO (I'm shorting it soon).
Back to EQX, I think the reason for the rise is the survey result as mentioned previously by a holder. Just people getting set and biting at every opportunity.
