Saudi Arabia is not going to assist this time to supply more into the gap in global oil supplies (as they did in the 1999 Russian oil crisis).
Demonstrating closer ties now & some solidarity also with both Russia and China. Plus the moves away from USD denominated transactions for oil- effectively gold based oil sales with Yuan denominated contracts with China.
I am in Beach for gas predominantly though .
For the time being oil prices will remain high but upcoming gas shortages for winter for SE Australia, are very real.
