    I would like to point out that the scripture that you constantly quote is the result of the work of the Catholic Church in the sense that it decided what material to include and what to exclude.

    Do you ever question the validity of the product of this imperfect organisation? After all it is the imperfect Catholic Church that decided what has been included in scripture. Do you ever wonder whether they may have got it wrong? Perhaps there a verses that shouldn't be included and others that should have been included.

    If you are happy that an imperfect organisation can be the source of what I gather you regard as perfect product: the bible, then why can't imperfect pagans be the source of a perfect Easter celebration: the resurrection of Jesus?
