I'd forgotten about that article, it's a good read to highlight the importance of patience.

There was nothing untoward with those involved and RFT back then or today. I believe Claude was running the Ethical Equities site personally and has not maintained it since taking a job with Motley Fool running their Hidden Gems portfolio/tip service. I have spoken with Claude a few times and can vouch for his credibility, very smart thinker and investor.

While I know who Imran Khan is/was I won't comment given he wished to remain anonymous behind his alias. All I will say is he has successfully taken a large step forward in his investing career and I think his days over HotCopper posts are behind him. Though I've never spoken with him, I will again vouch for his credibility and he is another great micro cap investor.

I don't believe Claude owns or ever held RFT, and I am not sure whether Imran Khan owns today. But there was no pump and dump, simply individuals who have moved forward in the investment industry and their days of HotCopper/RFT are behind them.
