    Bit of a silly question.

    We're going to run out of the sun eventually.
    In, best estimates, around 40,000 years, iirc, we should see an orbital change that will start some significant cooling. Maybe keep the fossil fuels till then.

    The science hasn't seen anything that will stop greenhouse gas warming. Other than stopping greenhouse gas production. Increased cloud cover due to increased water vapour was a slim possibility, but that's inconsistent with paleo records of high CO2 eras. And latest cloud studies don't support that either.
    Krakatoa going off again might do it.

    Do I claim no other variable .. ? No, as above. Has the science identified any other variable that might mitigate this? Not that I am aware of. Have they identified some feedbacks that may make it worse, but not yet quantified? Yes.
