    Hi All,

    I didn't get a conclusive discussion on a point I raised earlier and think its worth another attempt.

    Here is an apology from NASA

    For the the purpose of this thread - lets just assume that its not a big error. Just accept that there was an error. And lets also assume that NASA have rectified it (I personally dont think they would ever admit it was anything more than a small error anyway even if it was). Lets also neglect the fact that the error would have given more weight to the warming side.

    Now I am sure we have all seen pretty graphs and diagrams using GISS data in many papers.

    My concern here is why didnt any consensus scientist (there are a lot!) pick this error up? Why did the peer reviews all fail to pick up this mistake? Why did it take a lone blogger?

    In particular I would like to ask the (current) climate-science supporters if this sort of stuff even bothers them? Or can you guys happily just accept that the entire consesus can make a mistake and this is the only one they made?
