Figure 11 below is from the Journal of Renewable and Sustainable Energy, Volume 56, April 2016, Pages 1008-1021. It shows current practical limits for major battery chemistries and highlights why Lithium-ion is currently dominating and also why so many dollars are being injected into Lithium-sulphur research.
