If WPL (and others) are so smart why didn't they foresee the global oil price crash?

And what makes you think it will be temporary? The US Shale guys have put a permanent cap on the price of oil: they are relatively small, nimble operators who can restart production literally with weeks one the price gets back to profitable levels (say) $70. Their drilling/fracturing techniques are improving all the time
