that guy is sprouting his own agenda and gets paid big time for it.
picking on Australias richest guy just gives him air time, and this publicity for his corporation.
he's all about residential electricity, which is great, but hydrogen is more about heavy industry... so he's picking the wrong argument.
plus the only way to go 100% green is with a battery backup, about 2 or 3 powerwalls per house needed for night time power and charge the EV. about $33k every 10-15 years. Plus $10k for the solar system.
all great... But can you imagine the price of lithium if everyone globally went and got an EV car and multiple home batteries???
doesnt scale very well.
then in 50 years when cheap lithium runs out you're up shop creek!!!!
let him spruik battery technology, but it's very short sighted!
