Thanks, Mozz, your "technical"posts are always especially informative. Two little queries however. You have "always" assumed that the p-values from the 008 study will improve dramatically in any subsequent study involving a larger number of participants. Probably, hopefully, this will turn out to be the case but you seem to assume that this is nearly axiomatic. Presumably a larger study is more reliable, but this implies that the initial smaller study is less reliable, which suggests we should be careful not to put so much weight on such a study. Also, is it wise to jump from an effect on canines after 26 weeks to so confidently assume a similar effect on humans after 3 years. That seems to be a stretch for me. Again, thanks for your research which I am sure is invaluable for most of us.
