There is also the destruction and loss of IP, longer term costs to make changes to the support structures, and the loss of corporate capability to understand basic functions in house. Short term ($) benefits, but I am yet to be convinced the long term benefits outweigh the long term costs. Luckily most people that set these deals up move on and don't have to deal with the fall out.
