Tailings can be managed better than pit water and egress requiring ongoing pump out and treatment either upfront to drill samples from the pit floor, or environmental seepage or granite aquifier allowance into the pit over the term of mine use.. Far more costly and difficult in my opinion then the current dry tailings store. However future dry tailings would surely need upgraded facilities too but theres no rush for that as its the water dredging thats required for sea wall certification. Which Im sure will be needed in some form as its not 100 years ago anymore. I suspect the company knows this due to it being a notable urgency in intention to start water treatment investigatory works as shown in their recent publication to attend. Just seems logical to me
