Surely you are not saying that the east-west link will only benefit people who use the eastern freeway and punt road? Or is it more the case that this is the only part that will affect YOU?
What about all the people from the north western suburbs who will be able to avoid the westgate, hence also benefiting the people from the south western suburbs? A good linked up freeway system is essential to any major city and the east-west link is an intergral part of that!
