At 52 per cent, the Coalition has maintained a two-to-one majority over Labor on national security. It has also recorded a 57 per cent approval rating for economic management, compared with the ALP's 21 per cent.
According to a Newspoll survey taken at the same time as the survey on political issues, the Coalition still has an election-winning lead on the primary vote, with 43 per cent to Labor's 37 per cent.
