Hairyback; have you really forgotten just how badly Tony Abbott trailed EVEN Bill Shorten as preferred PM before he was sacked?
I recall 2PP polls at 60:40 in favour of the ALP and Abbott plummeting to approval ratings worse than any other PM in our History. Australians did NOT want him to become PM but in September 2013 they desperately wanted to terminate the political infighting going on within the ALP.
They took Abbott at his word, they will NEVER do that again!
