If you had access to broker data you could plot accumulation by different brokers easily etc. Otherwise overall volumes doesn't easily differentiate other than indicate accumulation looking at daily trading patterns, perhaps if you had an algorithm that can analyse trading patterns...? but that's a question above my pay grade as I'm not one of the big boys with deep pockets and fancy tools...
