I totally agree. 100% of the pressure will be on Hawthorn and Clarkson certainly won't survive another GF loss. Furthermore it could be the last chance the Hawks have to win a GF with Buddy should he choose to leave the club at the end of the season.

Winning only one flag despite having such a strong list and possessing such a long line of brilliant players headed by Franklin up forward and the multi-dimensional Roughead who is as good as anyone in the competition up front as witnessed by his winning of the Coleman medal this year. Not only that he can play effectively in defence and is useful in the ruck too, two things Buddy can't do.

To highlight Hawthorn's underperformance for so long now, consider the difference having just Buddy and Roughead in your team over the period 2008-2013 would have made. Put them into the Western Bulldogs, St Kilda, Adelaide or any number of any other clubs who have been there or thereabouts over this time period and they would have won at least a flag as well, if not two or three and yet their overall lists have been nowhere near as strong as Hawthorn's over the specified time period.

The only pressure that will be on Fremantle will be the desire of the players and those around the club that would love to see the loyalty and great contributions made to the club by their three long-standing champion stalwarts Pavlich, McPharlin and Sandilands rewarded with a flag next Saturday.
