Those quoted aren't vegetable oils, they are seed oils. Olive oil is OK as long as you don't heat it. Coconut oil has the highest fuming point. I can fry with it without fuming.
I have known these are dangerous for years. I can't remember when I last bought any, including margarine.
I take no notice of my GP he/she [I change] would still advocate counting calories and exercise to lose weight. Know any slob who became trim, taught terrific this way? They lose a little weight and then regress.
