the problem of Nuheara is summarised by the following images.
the first is that best buys is selling a suite of products Nuheara bring just one.
the problem is that any reasonable investor reading the announcements could have concluded that they had been working with best buys almost exclusively in developing this new market and that they (Nuheara) were the leading product in the field. Clearly neither was true and management is now left with a stain on their reputation. Have they been deliberately misleading investors?
the other images of snapshots of the various sale channels and relationships that they apparently cultivated. Well here is four of the five main sales channels (their own direct to customer is the other) there are three different price points one being at $1000. The questions that this raises are perfectly legitimate: why different prices? How strong are these relationships? What are the sales numbers through each channel?
the idea that this can be ignored because we are now a medical device company doesn't hold water because we are fundamentally selling product and it would seem we are. Or very good at it or the product is not good.
of course this can be solved with good communication. Which is currently non existent. All together it suggests that this company is in serious trouble.
