Good question taughtbuffet.
The simplest answer is that I find the topic interesting.
I like reading people’s arguments and logic supporting their own beliefs while they attempt to refute the beliefs of others.
My sister is religious. She once said something to me along the lines of...
‘Religion A believes in Belief System A and proclaims that all other religions are false.
Religion B believes in Belief System B and proclaims that all other religions are false.
Religion C believes in Belief System C and proclaims that all other religions are false.
It is madness because they are all wrong. Belief System D (her religion) is the only true religion.’
The irony is that she is calling believers A, B & C mad when really she is really no different from any of them.
Believer E could use the exact same argument against believers A, B, C and D.
Believer F could use the exact same argument against believers A, B, C, D and E.
What could make somebody who appears rational in all other areas of life say such a thing? It is fascinating.
