    re: the proof (student) okay, they are net profit numbers. Fair nuff. Which leads to the valuation issue:

    How can the market cap be a PE multiple of the NPV? Like my analogy earlier, a company could have no assets other $1m in their bank account and they would have a market cap of $8m by that rationale (and that's a low PE).
