What? That comment is as ignorant as calling anyone who rents a loser.
Anyone with 1 or even 2 investment properties that are negatively geared is highly unlikely to have enough to retire.
Even owning outright you'd probably want 3-4 properties to provide a stable life for a couple presuming that was your main source of income.
